Introduction Of The Garmin Vivofit 2

Do you know how much or how little exercise you’re really doing?

Today I purchased myself a Garmin Vivofit 2. My partner has had one for the past 5-6 months and has been motivated to get moving and become really aware of how little or how much exercise he has been doing lately. Since having his Garmin he has increased the amount of activity he does each day and has seen positive effects.

I have noticed that since becoming a mum my exercise routine is not the best at times. Some days/weeks its great and we get a lot of walking and exercise in, then I go periods where I lack majorly in motivation and time to keep active.

I have been suffering  a bit of lower back pain and just generally feeling like I’m lacking exercise and movement in the past few weeks. For mothers day I was given a rebel sport gift card and a bit of money. With this I decided I too would invest in a Garmin Vivofit 2 band. As my daughter is getting a bit bigger now and starting to move around herself, I want to show by example the importance of keeping fit and healthy and getting outside and spending less time indoors on screens.

After setting up my band it has given me a daily goal of 7000 steps. Now this is already 3000 steps LESS than the recommended amount of steps per day.

Over the next five days I am setting my self a challenge to reach that 7000 steps minimum with the intention of reaching the end of week goal of 35,000 steps come Friday night before bed.

I look forward to blogging about my daily activities as a mum and how I achieved my exercise goals for the next five days.
