How often have you wondered what happened to the people you used to always talk to before you had your children? Or the people who were once so important in your life and you thought you were as important in their life?
How often do you ask someone how they are going and they never ask it back in return?
How often do you wish that someone would pop up in your inbox and check in to see how you are going?
We all need love and support and when it stops coming from the ones you thought cared most it can bring you down and make you sad.
As parents we become time poor running after our children and trying to do something for our self every so often, looking after your partner and trying to make time for each other. It makes me sad to think we can’t spare 5 min even once a week to check in and see how others are going. That quick question can brighten someone’s day, give them the chance to speak up if they are feeling down or just make them feel connected with you again.
Try take 5 min to check in with someone you care about. You won’t know how good it feels until you try it 🙂
