Ingredients:
- 2 cups of rolled Oats
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon nut butter
NOTE: If you want a more nutty taste to your pancakes add more nut butter. If you want a sweeter flavour to your pancake add a sweeter yogurt ( we used Greek yogurt). You could also replace the yogurt with a mashed banana for a sweeter type oat pancake.
Method:
Measure 2 cups of rolled oats then blitz then up until the become like flour.
Put dry ingredients into a bowl (2 cups blitzed oats). In a separate bowl put wet ingredients (1 cup milk, 2 eggs whisked, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1 tablespoon nut butter- we used peanut butter) and mix until all wet ingredients are combined. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl and mix together. The batter has a runny consistency. Pour your pancake mixture into a 1L Sinchies Pouch.
Sinchies 1L Pouches are great for pouring the mixture into the pan without making a huge mess. Great for easy controlled pouring.
Alternative flavours:
HONEY in the middle of the pancake. Pour basic recipe of batter into the pan, squirt some honey onto the pancake in the fry pan and top the pancake with more batter.
BANANA in the middle of the pancake. Same as with the honey version you place the banana slice in the middle of the pancake batter and pour more batter over the top.
BANANA AND HONEY in the middle of the pancake. Once again place the banana and honey in the middle of your pancake. This is a wonderful surprise as you bite into the pancake.
BANANA AND CHOC CHIPS in the middle of the pancake. You could also simply just go choc chips as an alternative.
Using your Sinchies 1L Pouch makes it so easy to pour the ingredients into the pan. Especially when trying to top the pancake filling with more batter. Pancakes are often a huge mess when I try and make them, especially when I make them from scratch and try and pour from a bowl/jug. There is often pancake mixture on the stove top, kitchen bench and sometimes the floor as it drips from the jug after I pour it into the fry pan. With the pouches (assuming it isn’t too full) you can sit them upright and pour the mixture back down the spout stopping it from dripping out everywhere.

Have you made OAT pancakes before? What was your recipe? We made these with ingredients that were around the house.
