Let’s Build a Cubby House:
As a kid I always LOVED to make cubby houses with what ever I could find around the house. Blankets, sheets, pillows, toys, tables, chairs etc. Once I had my cubby house set up I would play in there with my toys. I remember on a Saturday mornings I would wake up and watch ‘Saturday Disney’ and enjoy all my favourite cartoons. To make this even more fun, I would make a cubby house that covered the couch so I could watch the tv from within my own little ‘room’.
I needed to get some things done the other week so I decided I would put together a simple little cubby house for my daughter to explore and enjoy. 4 chairs, 1 blanket, and a couple of toys inside. She enjoyed standing inside and walking along the chairs to discover what new toy she could find. Going in one side of the cubby house and out the other- like a front and back door.
Having an explore in the cubby house
Have you made a cubby house for your child? Or have they made one themselves?
Share your cubby house on our Facebook page. We would love to see them!
